Portable Generators and their Different Uses

February 6th, 2010

We human beings like to make things tinier. We have made a lot of our everyday things smaller and I do not think we are done. We’ll carry on making things tinier and tinier because we can go smaller and better! Cellphones might become smaller, TVs may become flatter and lighter such that we can have high definition TV-watching anywhere we are.

Even gears and tools that have a reputation of being hefty and tedious have now been benefited by this shrinking trend. One such recipient of this great shrinking trend is the electric power generator. If you think that power generators are those bulky, heavy and noisy machines, then you are wrong.

These portable generators have become so small that they can be as portable as your everyday cooler box or your portable radio. Even better, the more compact size does not mean lesser power output because small portable generators of today can do a lot and can provide power for hours.

As a matter of fact, power generators have broken free of the image of being just there to supply backup emergency power but they can now also be used for recreational and fun purposes as well, being portable and small yet still able to provide enough juice for everyday electricity needs (lights, computer, stove, fan, etc).

So what else can you do with the small portable generators they are coming up these days? Uses that relate to recreation activities include RV caravan road tripping, outdoor camping, outdoor partying, concerts, races, trade shows, Sunday picnics at the park, or any other outdoor events.

But remember that different uses may require different sizes of generators. The general rule of thumb is that the more power you need, the bigger generator you need. Furthermore, each type of generator likewise has varying output levels so shoppers need to include this in their decision-making.

If your need involve the relatively light electricity requirements of PCs, Televisions and lights then perhaps a compact 1000 to 2000 watts silent generator may be adequate for you. But, bigger and power-sucking appliances like furnaces, refrigerators or even heavy construction tools like welding machines or jackhammers, you may need those in the 6000 watts range.

If you are looking for power generators that will be used as emergency backup only for blackouts or unannounced power cuts, you will probably need those in the 3000 watts range and above, especially if you are planning to provide emergency power to your entire house.

If you consider size a bigger factor in your buying decision compared to your power needs, then you will need to carefully consider your needs because the more power you need, the bigger and less portable the generator becomes. But more often than not, a generator model in the range of 1000 to 3500 watts would be sufficient for most portable use and about 3500 to 5500 watts would be sufficient to power majority of an entire home during emergency situations.

Prior to buying a power generator, your initial action should be to do is do your homework. Know your needs first before heading to the hardware store and shell out your money to buy. For more tips on buying gas powered generators. Please click the preceding link.

Count On A Reduction In The Solar Panel Price – 3 Reasons Why Your Solar Panel Ought To Be Cheaper Than Twelve Months Ago

January 27th, 2010

We live in a time when the environment and the economy are frequently within the news. So how are they related and how do they affect our lives?

Whether you believe the global warming theories or not we all want quality of living for a reasonable cost. None of us need to live with controlled power cuts or overpriced priced fuel. These might seem like remote threats, but if the gas supplies run out it is a possible short term resolution.

Harnessing the weather to give us sustainable cheaper fuels has got to be the sensible long term resolution, as the wind and the sun are not about to run out on us. It’s additionally the globally backed solution, so dive on the band wagon and get moving while the grants are still to be had.

Below are 3 reasons why it is currently cheaper than ever to put in sustainable energy supplies without the solar panel price breaking the budget.

1. Cheaper silicon. Solar panels are made with polysilicon and the increase in silicon supplies means that these have simply got cheaper. Like most manufactured goods, the retail price is governed by the price of the component parts.

2. Governments backing green. Green could be a vote winner, so you can be certain that every government will make an effort to keep this sector of the voters contented. Entrepreneurs can be trying to take advantage of the budget made accessible by the government to setup solar energy advice centres. These recommendation centers are the right place to test the solar panel price and installation costs.

3. Increased demand. With the present drive to switch to solar the bigger demand will mean that offers will be available and costs can be more competitive. It’s an investors market at the moment.

You do not need to be environmentally preoccupied to understand that with a tiny investment you’ll significantly reduce your financial outgoings.

There are several different areas to analyze before getting carried away at the solar panel price and ordering an immediate installation. Firstly, look at the grants accessible in your area. In a number of instances these are so great that they nearly totally cover the installation costs. Be positive to test the information carefully as there could be requirements which you need to meet in order to be entitled for the grant.

HomeMade Wind Generator – Taming The Wind

December 13th, 2009

The uneven heating of the Earth’s surface by the Sun causes moving currents to arise, Thus giving wind it’s energy.

The blades on a wind generator, are aerodynamic all, to harness as much wind energy that is possible. The wind will turn the blades and the blades will turn the shaft which is connected to a generator, this will give you clean electricity.

In the United States more Electricity is made from energy than anywhere in the world. As of 2008 2,358 mega watts of electricity were added from wind alone. About 42% of all new energy sources came from wind energy. Bringing our total of electricity from wind energy to 25,170, MW. We here in the United States are blessed with spectacular wind resources, so why not use them.

A majority of this electricity, until recently came from large wind farms that contain hundreds of huge generators. One of these generators are able to supply the electrical needs of several hundreds of homes.

To the average homeowner wind generators appear to be to expensive and large. This has caused homemade wind generators to bring up the rear behind other alternative energy sources, as a home based system.

The most noticeable way to capture renewable energy is to set-up a wind generator in your house.

This in your face method of renewable energy will not appeal to all people. But there is amazing poteinal in it. In the United States we not only lead the world in electricity produced by wind, but also 90% of all home based wind genrators are in the United States. So the technology is here now and rising fast.

In some of articles and in lots of places on the web you can find painless ways to reduce your power consumption by 65%. If you want to switch to an alternative energy source, that is where you should start. Reducing your need for electricity will make the switch to a renewable source simpler and cheaper.

Using a homemade wind generator is easier and cheaper today than it has ever been. But I do know it can seem like daunting task, but if you have a goal in mind and a plan on how to get there in your hand it is easyer than most think.

The simplest way is to follow a plan from those that have already lead the way. For a highly thorough and easy to follow step by step plan on how to build your own homemade wind generator. Stop by and visit us at homemade energy for the best plans and support online.

Earth4Energy Testimonial – Is It A Hyped Up Rip-Off Or Is It As Good As It Sounds?

October 7th, 2009

A Summary of “Earth 4 Energy”

“Earth 4Energy” teaches people how to build solar panels and wind generators in a comprehensive handbook. Since it comes not only with well written instructions but a video “Earth4Energy” is very easy to follow. The parts for the systems are also very easy to find and affordable. Both systems can be built for less than $300 total, and all of the parts can be found at a local hardware store. As well as being easy to use the systems also significantly cut down the monthly energy bills. People can breakaway from their electricity companies by using these simple systems.

“Earth4 Energy” Review

For quite some time, I’ve really been thinking of what I can do to save the planet. Making sure the world isn’t in a worse condition then when I was born is a very big concern for me personally. I don’t want to condemn my children with my inaction. That’s why id decided to give “Earth 4Energy” a go.

Overview

“Earth4 Energy” was created by Michael Harvey. He has been working in the renewable energy field for the past 15 years. “Earth4Energy” is do it yourself project kit that is designed to show people how to build renewable energy to run their homes.

Our Review of Earth4Energy

I was a little nervous when I first started with “Earth4Energy”. I didn’t know if I would be able to follow “Earth4 Energy” because I am not very technically skilled.

My fears were put to rest immediately, though. The video that comes with “Earth 4Energy” convinced me that I was more than capable of doing this for myself. The video took me through everything step by step. It looked so easy I was amazed. How could I know that building these kinds of things was so easy?

As soon as the video was over I was ready to get shopping. I didn’t have a big budget, so I was concerned. But again I found that there was no reason to be afraid. I went to the hardware store and spent $300. With that amount I was able to get everything I needed for both the solar panels and the wind generator.

Even though I could have just settled for doing one of them I decided to try both the wind and the solar. As I said, I’m concerned about leaving the planet in a better place than I found it, and so it seemed like a good idea to set up an entire power station in my yard.

I really was able to build a complete power station. but I learned about more then just wind and solar power. I was able to learn all about building a renewable energy generator as well as where I could find free batteries to store all this renewable energy. With the information I was given, I now have full protection, even when there is a power outage.

I have been going on and on about how eco friendly the solar panels and windmills are. But here is my dirty little secret. Even though I love being more eco friendly I love how much I save on my monthly bills even more.

Helping top save the planet, I knew, would make me feel good, but saving money make sit even better. I don’t even owe a thing some months. It all feels great.

The Final Word

“Earth4Energy” is an affordable and effective product. I’m, saving money while helping the environment.

Using “Earth 4Energy” got me the best of both worlds. My conscious is lighter and I’m saving money left, right and centre. Can you imagine something better then that?
